Spec Check: BLUETTI AC180
BLUETTI's published AC180 specs (1,152Wh, 1,800W, 1,440W Turbo charging) and what they mean in usable watt-hours.
Published · Updated

BLUETTI lists the AC180 at 1,152Wh LiFePO4, 1,800W continuous (2,700W Power Lifting for resistive loads), 1,440W Turbo AC charging, 500W solar and about 35.3 lb. We estimate about 848 Wh usable through AC, the most in our reference set.
- 1,152Wh LiFePO4, 3,500+ cycles to 80%.
- 1,800W AC; 2,700W Power Lifting for heating devices only.
- Estimated ≈848 Wh usable via AC; the heaviest of the set at 35.3 lb.

| AC output | 1,800W (Power Lifting 2,700W for resistive loads; surge 2,700W) |
| Wall charging | Up to 1,440W Turbo, about 1.3–1.8 h |
| Solar input | 500W max, 12–60V, 10A |

| Expansion | Not expandable (can be charged from BLUETTI batteries in Power Bank Mode) |
Usable capacity: our estimate
Estimated usable AC energy: 1,152 Wh × 0.80 × 0.92 ≈ 848 Wh. That's our estimate (80% usable depth from Victron's LiFePO4 data, 92% inverter efficiency from NREL's PVWatts manual; an estimate for this unit), not a measurement. BLUETTI's own AC180 figures are 90% depth of discharge and 85% inverter efficiency (BLUETTI), which gives ≈881 Wh. Real results vary with load size, temperature and the unit's own idle draw. DC and USB loads skip the inverter loss.
| Example load | Est. runtime |
|---|---|
| 15 W | ≈56.5 h |
| 60 W | ≈14.1 h |
| 150 W | ≈5.7 h |
| 250 W | ≈3.4 h |

What the specs mean
1,152Wh is the largest capacity in our 1kWh-class group. BLUETTI publishes about 15W self-consumption. Power Lifting runs resistive heating loads up to 2,700W; BLUETTI says not to use it for air conditioners or washing machines. It isn't expandable.
Who it suits
Home backup users who want the most energy in one box and don't move it often.

Can I add a battery to the AC180?
BLUETTI says it doesn't support capacity expansion, but it can be charged from some BLUETTI batteries in Power Bank Mode with extra cables.
