Spec Check: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2
Jackery's published Explorer 1000 v2 specs (1,070Wh, 1,500W, 23.8 lb) and what they mean in usable watt-hours.
Published · Updated

Jackery lists the Explorer 1000 v2 at 1,070Wh LiFePO4, 1,500W continuous with a 3,000W surge peak, 400W solar input and about 23.8 lb. We estimate about 788 Wh usable through AC.
- 1,070Wh LiFePO4, 4,000 cycles to 70%+.
- 1,500W AC, 3,000W surge; the lightest 1kWh-class unit in our set.
- Estimated ≈788 Wh usable via AC.
Manufacturer specs
Figures below come from the manufacturer pages listed under Sources, copied as published. We have not measured these units.
| Spec | Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 |
|---|---|
| Rated capacity | 1,070Wh |
| Estimated usable (AC) | ≈788Wh (estimate) |
| Battery | LiFePO4, 4,000 cycles to 70%+ |
| AC output | 1,500W (surge peak 3,000W) |
| Wall charging | About 1,000W normal (about 1.7 h); app Emergency Super Charging about 1 h |
| Solar input | 400W max (2 × 200W ports) |
| Weight | About 23.8 lb (10.8 kg) |
| Backup switchover | ≤20 ms switchover |
| Expansion | Not expandable |
Usable capacity: our estimate
Estimated usable AC energy: 1,070 Wh × 0.80 × 0.92 ≈ 788 Wh. That's our estimate (80% usable depth from Victron's LiFePO4 data, 92% inverter efficiency from NREL's PVWatts manual; an estimate for this unit), not a measurement. Real results vary with load size, temperature and the unit's own idle draw. DC and USB loads skip the inverter loss.
| Example load | Est. runtime |
|---|---|
| 15 W | ≈52.5 h |
| 60 W | ≈13.1 h |
| 150 W | ≈5.3 h |
| 250 W | ≈3.2 h |

What the specs mean
At 23.8 lb it's the lightest 1kWh-class unit we cover. 1,500W is lower than the 1,800W rivals, so a 1,500W heater or kettle is at its limit. Jackery's support page lists 18W standby consumption, which matters for long, light loads. Its cycle rating uses 70% remaining capacity, a different yardstick from the 80% others quote.
Who it suits

Why is the cycle rating '70%' and not '80%'?
Makers choose different end points. 4,000 cycles to 70% and 3,000 cycles to 80% aren't directly comparable.
